Terms and Conditions – North Lincolnshire Open Place Directory 

The North Lincolnshire Open Place Directory website www.northlincs.openplace.directory is a platform where providers can submit details of their local services and activities that may be of interest to residents of North Lincolnshire in supporting their general health and wellbeing.  

The directory is a joint initiative between North Lincolnshire Council and other partners from across the public, voluntary and community sector with an interest in improving community wellbeing in North Lincolnshire.  

This website is provided for the purpose of submitting details of services or activities by North Lincolnshire Council in conjunction with their partners. The directory software supplier is Placecube Limited. 

Please read these terms of use carefully before you start to use the directory, as these will apply to use of our website. We recommend that you print a copy of this document for future reference. 

By using the directory on the website, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. 

You should read these Terms and Conditions alongside our Privacy Notice which sets out how we store and process your personal data. 

We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time and will republish them to keep you up to date.  

Your data 

The North Lincs Open Place Directory is published on an Open Data basis. This means two key things: 

• The information you have provided will be made available through a range of North Lincolnshire Council and approved partner information channels. This includes providing information via telephone, post, fax, email, face-to-face and via the internet. 

• The information is published under an Open Government License. This gives users of the data the ability to copy, publish, distribute and transmit the information, adapt the information, use the information commercially or non-commercially, for example by combining it with other information, or by including it in a product or application. North Lincolnshire Council is unableto place additional conditions on users accessing the data via an Open Government License. 

By completing the sign-up process to the North Lincolnshire Open Place Directory, you are agreeing to your data being used in this way.  

If for any reason you want to withdraw from the Open Place Directory, you can do this by contacting North Lincolnshire Council (see details under the ‘Contact Us’ link).  

We will remove your details from the directory but please be aware we will not be able to remove all details from the internet where this is outside the control of North Lincolnshire Council. We may also need to retain your data for a set period of time as set out in our Privacy Notice.  

Data Quality 

You need to keep your information held in the North Lincolnshire Open Place Directory up-to-date and accurate by regularly logging back into this site and reviewing your information.  

Any updates you make will be reviewed by a data assurer before being published. 

We reserve the right to amend your information so that it fits with the overall data quality framework of the North Lincolnshire Open Place Directory. 

Publishing 

North Lincolnshire Council reserves the right to refuse listing or to remove services for any reason without notice. Examples of why services may be removed or not listed are: 

• Safeguarding concerns 

• Inaccurate or out-of-date information 

• Services that do not benefit the residents of North Lincolnshire. 

If your service is removed or refused listing, we will send you notification by email to the last known contact details we have available.
